1. Carriers and Delivery Areas
We deliver goods worldwide (over 200 countries). Depending on the country of destination and the nature of the consignment, we use the following carriers:
| Region | Carriers |
|---|---|
| Czech Republic and Slovakia | PPL, GLS |
| European Union | GLS, FedEx |
| Outside the EU (worldwide) | DHL Express, FedEx |
The specific shipping methods available and their price are displayed to the buyer at checkout according to the country of delivery and the weight and dimensions of the consignment.
2. Order Processing and Delivery Times
2.1. We usually dispatch the goods within 24–48 hours of receipt of payment (on business days).
2.2. Indicative delivery times from handover to the carrier:
- Czech Republic and Slovakia: usually 1–2 business days,
- EU: usually 2–5 business days,
- outside the EU: usually 3–10 business days (excluding the customs clearance period).
2.3. The stated periods are indicative and do not include delays on the part of the carrier, customs authorities or events of force majeure. For bulky and heavy parts, or parts subject to transport restrictions (e.g. airbags, seat belt pretensioners), shipping may be priced individually; in such a case we will contact the buyer.
3. Shipping Price
The shipping price is calculated according to the weight and dimensions of the consignment and the country of delivery, and is always displayed before the order is completed at checkout. For international consignments outside the EU, additional charges under Article 5 may apply.
4. Passing of the Risk of Damage
4.1. For a consumer, the risk of damage to the goods passes at the moment of taking delivery of the goods (§ 2123 and § 2158(2) of the Czech Civil Code).
4.2. For a business buyer (B2B), the risk of damage passes at the moment of handover of the goods to the first carrier, or in accordance with the agreed Incoterms® 2020 rule.
5. International Consignments, Customs Duties and Import Taxes
5.1. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery is governed by the DAP (Delivered At Place) rule under Incoterms® 2020.
5.2. For consignments outside the customs territory of the EU, the buyer acts as the importer of the goods and bears all import duties, import VAT/GST, excise duties and customs or handling charges assessed in the country of destination. These amounts are not included in the purchase price or the shipping price and are paid by the buyer directly to the carrier or the customs authorities.
5.3. For consumers within the EU, the price is displayed inclusive of VAT and no import duty applies.
5.4. For business orders (B2B) destined outside the EU, the seller may require the buyer's EORI number and further customs details.
6. Inspection of the Consignment on Delivery, Damaged or Lost Consignment
6.1. When taking delivery of the consignment, we recommend checking that the packaging is intact. If the packaging is visibly damaged, we recommend drawing up a damage report with the carrier or, where appropriate, refusing to accept the consignment.
6.2. Please report any obvious damage to the contents of the consignment to the seller without undue delay (preferably within 3 days of delivery) at support@parts4cars.cz, ideally with photographic documentation. This is without prejudice to the consumer's rights arising from defective performance.
6.3. In the event of loss of or damage to the consignment during transport, the seller will lodge a claim with the carrier and agree an alternative solution with the buyer (re-delivery, a discount or a refund).
7. Uncollected or Returned Consignment
7.1. If the buyer fails to take delivery of the consignment and it is returned to the seller, the seller will contact the buyer in order to agree on re-dispatch (at the buyer's expense) or a refund.
7.2. If, in the case of consignments outside the EU, the buyer refuses to pay the import duties/taxes and the consignment is returned or destroyed, the procedure set out in Article 13 of the General Terms and Conditions applies (the seller is entitled to set off the costs actually incurred).
8. Incoterms and B2B
At the request of a business buyer, a different Incoterms® 2020 delivery rule may be agreed. Unless otherwise agreed, the DAP rule applies.
